Design and Ergonomics

Weighing 810g without its battery, Canon EOS 5D Mark II is constructed from magnesium alloy

and is resistant to external factors like rain and dust. Its Integrated Cleaning System

combats sensor dust using hi-frequency vibrations to shake dust from the infrared filter  and

incorporates Anti-static technologies, including a special fluorine coating, so as not to

attract dust.

The newly designed menu system includes a new Quick Control screen, for instant access to the

most commonly changed settings, and Creative Auto mode which allows photographers to control

creative factors such background blur, drive mode and image brightness whilst the camer

automatically adjusts its key settings.
Live view is enable in the 3-inch LCD, which displays in 920K pixel resolution, has 3

automatic brightness levels as well as an anti-reflection coating and a viewing angle of 170°

whilst the viewfinder provides 98% coverage of the scene with a 0.71x magnification factor

for precise viewing.
